Knitted Goofy - My childhood hero.

Knitted Goofy

When other say that their inspiration is Steve Jobs, Gandhi, Muhammad Ali or Nelson Mandela I have a completly different source of inspiration. Yes I’m weird, but my hero was always and still is Goofy. Yes, the Disney character. You have every reason to ask why. Goofy is poor and runs from one misersy into antoher. Destiny is not really his friend. He has absolutely no talents and manages to create a catastrophy out of every task he gets. He is neither wise nor an inspiring person. So why Goofy? Simply because he is happy. He takes life as it comes, tries to make the best out of it and never looses his ability to be happy. For me that is inspiring. Sometimes we cannot change our circumstances but we can change our look at them.

Knitting Goofy while watching some of the old cartoons was awesome. Many childhood flashbacks while getting another view on live. As I mostly do I used intarsia to knit in differetn colors. Just the eyes were made with fair isle. The theeth were duplicate stitch, because it were just two stitches each.

Enjoy some fun time with Goofy!
